Electric Water Heater Rebates

¨ Electric water heater rebates are available for installing a 30-gallon or larger electric water heater in your home. It can either be an installation in a new home or a replacement of an old electric or gas water heater. A $100.00 rebate will be paid after the bill is turned in to our Customer Service department and a Northcentral representative completes an on-site inspection.
 

Heat Pumps

¨ Heat pumps can be financed through a Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) program administered by Northcentral. Retrofit heat pumps must be 13-SEER to be eligible for financing up to 10 years based on member’s credit rating. The monthly charge will be added to the member’s utility bill. This program is available on existing homes only. Heat pump financing carries a 8% interest rate and the loan amount is up to $10,000.

 

Surge Protection

¨ Surge protection is also available. A Storm Trapper HSE® surge protector can be installed on your meter to protect your heavy motor-loads, such as your air conditioner, washing machine, dryer, refrigerator and freezer, from lightning damage. Our representative will make an on-site inspection and check you meter, ground wire and ground rod before installation. During this time, the representative will also make a recommendation for point-of-use surge protection for your sensitive load equipment, such as televisions, computers and stereos. These types of equipment are not covered under the Storm Trapper because they are so sensitive to power surges. Individual surge protectors can either be purchased from Northcentral or a place of your choice. The member must sign a 12-month agreement and a fee of $5.50 will be added to your monthly electric bill for the Storm Trapper HSE®.
