Our street name has changed!

Commerce Loop has been renamed Northcentral Way.

Northcentral Electric Power Association now has a physical address of 4600 Northcentral Way, Olive Branch, MS 38654. Our mailing address is still P.O. Box 405, Byhalia, MS 38611.

If you are using a gps to get to our office, you may need to use our old address of 4600 Commerce Loop until the new street name is recognized by satellite maps.

Members cautioned about scan involving utility payments

Northcentral Electric Power Association officials have been alerted to a scam affecting its members. A rumor states that the federal government is willing to pay utility bills if members will pay by e-check and use particular banking account information.

There is no truth to this rumor. The banking information is only partially legitimate which causes the transaction, made either by phone or online, to appear to go through but the payments are later rejected. At this point, Northcentral has a small number of members that have attempted to pay their bill this way.

 Payment Safety Tips

  • Never share personal account information or banking information with anyone whether they are family, friends or strangers.
  • Never give personal account information or banking information to anyone calling you and stating they are Northcentral employees.
  • Feel free to ask any Northcentral employee to show their employee badge. Our field employees wear a uniform and drive vehicles with corporate identification.
  • Stay aware of possible identity theft situations and guard your personal information.
  • Always remember that if something is too good to be true, it probably is not true.

Energy Saving Tip of the Month

Smart landscaping can lower your electric bills. Trees on the south and west sides of your home provide shade—and reduce cooling costs—during hot summer months. Shade for your air conditioner can save 10 percent on your cooling costs. And by adding vegetation to the north side of your home, you can cut winter winds that trigger higher heating costs.
